Agreed... Haven't seen anything that cites evidence that it was in the works. Ever.

I agree that 55 would be a very weird year. If 2022 happened to be the final year of the car, with the intention of some sort of "permanent" retirement, it would make more sense.

There are intervals that make sense. 10 - A full decade. 20 - Two full decades. 25- Silvery Anniversary. After that, it seems likely to go back to the "0" years until you hit 75.

Well, they did make a 35th and a 45th anniversary edition in 2002 and 2012, though, so a 55th could very reasonably be expected.

Yeah, maybe - I'm not saying it doesn't happen. Just that it's more common for them to be "0" years with 25 and 75 being the most common ones that break that pattern.

Was the 45th because they hadn't yet had the plans for the sixth gen and they wanted an anniversary edition in the stables again? What about for the 35th against the Gen5? If those ideas hold merit, then it could prop up the idea of a 55th. However, given the recent hype with the C8 and the supply chain issues and such (coupled with the fact that GM couldn't address a damn BRAKE PART issue for 2021 to still sell this car in CA), my guess is that they aren't focused on increasing attention for the Camaro with an Anniversary Edition right now.

I would looking forward to seeing what the color scheme would've looked like, but I guess that's no longer an option. I don't really care about this, but it leaves a lot of speculation for where the 6th generation camaro is going now....

Are they preparing to kill the car off, or are they putting more energy into the next one?

Good grief. I remember when 25th Anniversary cars were in showrooms.

Wow.
They can't even bother to come up with a new shade of grey, some decals, and chrome wheels.

Someone here posted the other day that his dealer told him the '22s would get a power bump and new interior electronics. That now sounds like false camaro q hope.

It sounds more and more every day like the Camaro is walking to the gallows again....

Unless the 7th gen is all electric. Which, if that's the case, re-read the first statement...
