I will need a new tranny line and to fix up some wiring but not too much damage down there. I see the trans has that steel basket in there, it seemed to have caught most of the parts other than case pieces.

I am going to modify my burn out and try it again. There are guys going really fast with these transmissions and I have no desire to give up overdrive. I might consider a 4l80 someday but would still consider that a step backwards.

Time for an update.

Got a new trans in the car. So far so good but I haven’t ran it down the track yet. Also got my wheels finally. They look sweet. Hard to tell in the pics but they are the bronze burst color. I also mounted a sensor to read driveshaft speed so I can get a speed signal into the squirt. Now I have the ability to set boost based on speed. I also swapped out the 3 port boost noid for a 4 port. This should allow for a larger range of boost, for example I should be able to keep my 5psi spring and be able to command it anywhere from 5psi to 20+psi. It is now rime to start leaning on it, sort out any issues and see what it can do.

Glad it's back together now. Love the bronze Forgestar wheels too.

Thanks guys!

My low mount pumps were not working as expected so I set up a surge tank set up. I was a little concerned one tank might run dry on a long run so I used 2 tanks. It is all up and running and seems to be working but I need to crank it up to be sure.

I forgot to post in here, I made to the car show dyno again. My boost controller was acting up and it made an ugly graph but here are the numbers. This was around 19psi through the factory muffler. Haven’t tried the cut outs yet.

after looking at some numbers I am pretty happy with that ET. there are a number of things I can do to improve on that number.

calculator suggests dropping 200lbs would get me to 6.13. then adding 100 more hp would get me to 5.91. this run was 18psi and I am tuned to 22psi.

I should be able to knock .2 off my 60'. not sure what that would do for my ET. then valve springs and being able to rev it to a proper rpm should be good for something and getting the converter tightend up or locking up should be good for something as well. there is a ton of room for improvement.

almost forgot about weather, it was over 80deg last night. dropping 20+deg would likely help some. also my iats were high enough they were getting into some timing reduction. I was only seeing 13deg of timing for part of that run.
