The way the car handles from the factory is nothing short of amazing. It seems like it would be easy to make things worse and hard to make things better. The only thing I would consider to improve handling would be to go to a set of ZL1 1LE wheels and tires.
If you check out these lists you'll notice that the SS 1LE is performing in a league much higher than its price and that most of its competitors use R compound tires. http://fastestlaps.com/lists/top-grip-kings http://fastestlaps.com/lists/top-qui...stoppers-60mph |

Frankly a guaranteed way to gain pace is to slap rims with slicks on. 2-4+ seconds gain - venue dependent - without as much as touching anything. It takes a big effort otherwise, cost and engineering wise. While a few selected big after market shops like Dinan etc have the funds and close relationships with manufacturers, most others do not have either. The only other way it works is if an after market shop actually races a car in question, such as what LG used to do with the Vettes. Or race shops that offer turn key racing solutions, but such cars are no longer street legal and cost way into 6 digits. |
