Any pics of the LT out yet, interested to see how the striping will look on a smooth hood, without air vents?

Very much underwhelmed with the car, at least I won't be drooling over a car I can't afford (new ZL1 covers that ).
For Chevrolet's 50th anniversary in 1962 (founded in 1911, didn't produce/sell cars until 1912) they made a special "Golden Anniversary" edition of the new bodied Impala, around 300 to 350 were made. They also had a new "Anniversary Gold" paint added for almost all the cars. They made one '62 Corvette that color for the show circuit as well.
I had envisioned and hoped for something along those lines, a unique 50th "Golden" anniversary Camaro with special gold paint and some cool graphics (like the Gold Edition Trans Am's).
I do feel they "missed the boat" on this one, oh well...

That would have been amazing!

I certainly didn't expect some exclusive engine option.

I said it's lazy because it is. I'm fine with it being just some design flair, etc. But I figured an exclusive retro color (like hugger orange) to commemorate the 50th anniversary and maybe even some retro interior throwback items would have been cool (i.e. retro guage font, etc.).

There's plenty of great ideas that could have been implemented, and we get some orange stickers and convertable wheels on an already available color for our 'exclusive' 50th anniversary package.

I don't think Lazy is a fair word to use. Is it a big splash? No...but "anniversary" doesn't have to equate retro...and hugger orange wasn't even a color option in the commemorative year of 1967...

There's lots been done to the interior appointment, I just wish we'd see it already.

"Convertible wheels"...What does that mean?

Seriously. I was hoping for a glimpse at NYAS but they were all about the ZL1. At least we got to see what the "Fifty" badge looks like on the steering wheel (queue the people upset that it will displace the SS badge).

Only reason I can think of is they're still finalizing the design. Summary so far from what I've read is leather seats but with orange accent stitching and suede inserts (similar to the ZL1 but likely not RECARO) and the "Fifty" badge in the seat back, "Fifty" on the steering wheel, which is standard on all 2017s anyway, and the "Fifty" logo on the illuminated sill plates. Beyond that, I'm not sure. Maybe the suede panels extend to the center console, dash insert, and knee pads, also with orange stitching, perhaps the "Fifty" badge on the shifter or dash, who knows.

Updated: Re-read the OP. They said "seat backs" not "headrest", meaning much like the "Fifty" logo displacing the SS badge on the steering wheel, it will probably also displace the SS badge embedded in the seat too. Not sure I'm real happy about that but again, we haven't seen the pics yet.

Even though it's been several days now, I still can't quite get behind the whole "FIFTY" tag...It just seems too odd instead of a "50th" for the anniversary. Have any other anniversary cars used the spelling of the number instead of the numeral itself?....

To me "FIFTY" just is not right. Not traditional, perhaps...It just seems like a clumsy way to label the 50th Anniversary Camaro....

Some have suggested perhaps they wanted to avoid having 50 on the side because it might be too close to resembling 5.0. I think they could have done it and incorporated the existing red/white/blue shield design and it would have been different enough. It will be the first time in recent history at least that the word Camaro isn't anywhere to be found on the outside of the car (and only on the inside due to the steering wheel, which looks too much like the '10/'11 style for my taste, probably because of everyone giving them undeserved hell when they re-styled for 2012).

That said, I've gotten past the oddness of it and think it is unique and different. True car fans don't need the word Camaro on the side to know it is one. I just want to see interior pics dang it.

Any pictures of the actual car? Best thing about this package is the seats and interior changes, in my opinion.

I also think they should make one in anniversary gold like they did with the Chevys in 1962.
