Amazon is where I’ve been getting mine. I ordered the ESP, but they sent me the updated Supercar oil. The filters are $7 there, also. Fast, easy and delivered to my door.

I used to be a big Amsoil fan but unfortunately, it seems like their formulations have changed / gotten worse since reviews like the one above from projectfarm were handed out.. The latest signature series blend of 5w30 is nothing special anymore, and not worth a premium over M1.. I do think their SS 0w20 is still pretty good however.

Hmm, sad to hear that, and will check out the blog, thanks... but I'm afraid they're all racing to the bottom, so Amsoil is most probably still among the best in relative terms.

There is no price premium above Mobil1, by the way, this was my price after the $25 annual membership fee, total cost almost identical to the dollar to what SOCAL.M6.ZLE paid.

Autozone has pretty regular deals on buying 5qts mobil 1 espx3 0w40 and a filter(not the correct filter, I refund it during pickup) for only $37.99. After tax and refunding the filter, it ends up being about $80 or so for 10 quarts of proper oil for the car. Then you can purchase the filter separately for a few bucks. Whenever I find this deal in autozone, I buy about 2 oil changes worth of oil.

Reviews are saying that they are shipping the ESP and not the Supercar, which matches the product description (not the photos).

EXP x3 is what I've been buying using the deal from Autozone.

I have received both packages, ESP and Supercar in the last 18 months or so. The most recent bottles I got were Supercar packaging. Not that it matters that much, but yeah, I prefer getting the new bottles. I also have a few x3 on the shelf too from my Autozone order. Its all good stuff, and it is all overpriced! Which is why we get so excited about seeing it for under $9.

I don't think the deal I got can be beat.

I paid $119.03 for 20 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40 ESPx3 from Autozone last year fall during their online promition.

Then they sent me another 20 quarts for free.

So in total I got 40 quarts for $119.03 which is $2.97 per quart. Not bad.

Today my oil change on my 1LE cost me $37.67 including the PF64 filter from Amazon. Better than the $200+ the dealer is charging me. Hopefully there is no issues with warranty as long as I am keeping receipts and logging the mileage / date of the oil change?
