2016 to 2018 Camero ss 2nd gear issues related to defective transmission hous

I am having same 2nd gear issue. One the customer got it fixed and found out that is a defective transmission housing. Here is the link to the video. https://youtu.be/FxngwiF7_Wg

GM knows about it but they are telling their dealer to tell customers that it is normal. Everybody, we need to report this issue to NHTSA.gov. Here is the link for that https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

All these camaoros have defected transmision housing which is causing multiple symtoms. For example, hard to shift to 2nd when upshift or downsift, 2nd gear popping out and shift into neutral, missing 2nd gear and sometime grinding.
I spoke to 2 dealers and they both have different openion. One says that i need skip shift eliminater and the other one says that it is normal to have symtoms like that also Advised me not to use the 2nd gear. Which is bad beacuse we spent a fortune buying this car and then we are unable the use 2nd gear.

Please everybody, go NHTSA website and file a complain because they are not going to fix it until government institution files a lawsuit against GM

I've not found an issue that isn't present in every other manual ive owned to some extent.

Driving stick isn't for every one and I'll leave it at that.

I have two of these transmissions. They both shift perfectly. With me driving them! FWIW!!

I haven't experienced any of those problems.
A little stiff when cold, but so is any other manual trans.

This issue is annoying to me. I never had that problem with my 5th gen, to a point that I almost don't use second gear anymore on my 6th gen. However, I find it easier to shift in second when I am on track mode.

I had a 5th gear issue with my 13ZL1 M6. You need to find a dealer that has a good shop foreman that will go to bat for you. My foreman brought in a zone area rep and the GM tech line to fix my issue. end result was a "5th gear pack" to be replaced in the tranny, so I guess you need someone to make the call that you need a new tranny case.

"All these camaoros have defected transmision housing which is causing multiple symtoms" Where is your proof of this? Also I have 0 issues with mine whether upshifting to 2nd or downshifting to 2nd, its fine. Both on the street and on the track after 30 minutes.
