How many of you have used your warranty?

There is always the discussion about tunes and mods and warranty coverage. I only have 1200 miles on my 1LE and I wonder...

1. How many people with an SS have used the warranty for something that could have been denied if you had a tune? Meaning, mechanical issues that could reasonably be associated with your mods.

2. How many of tuned your car then had an issue and just didn't bother assking the dealer since you assumed you would get denied.

I ask because the L99/LS3 has been around for quite a while and been used extensively. I find it hard to believe that they break very often.

Sorry I have a V6 and I voted, when i pulled it up all i saw was the pole and first paragraph of the post, i didnt see there was more to it. please don't shoot me, but still no mechanical issues needing warranty work, just one warranty fix was for a piece of weather stripping... Should have SS in the title.

The only thing that went wrong with mine was the HUD fuse went dead so I had to take it in to get a new one. Not sure if they still would've covered it if tuned.

Didn't find a poll option that suited me

Used the recall on the passenger airbag light, that's about it. I'll have had it for 1 year in 4 days...

Safety recalls have nothing to do with warranty work. You could get a safety recall when the car is 10 years old and has 200,000 miles on it if it was mandated by the Government.

Yes, I know. Guess I should have added a . That's the only thing that has been adjusted on the car, that was point I was trying to make :(

Your question should be "Who's Used Their Powertrain Warranty?"

I've been in several times for warranty work, but never on the drivetrain.

Had a warranty issue with my 2010 SS. Rear end made noise while turning. There was a TSP about it. Repaired under warranty. No tune but they did check for one due to my CAI and Exhaust.
