2019 snap crackle pop

Is it me or does this npp exhaust pop a lot more than 2017-18?

The newer exhausts sound “brighter” for lack of a better term. After a few thousand miles or so they mellow out a bit and give more rumble, less rasp.

I can’t vouch for the 17’-18’ models, but my 19’ is pretty loud. Much louder than my 15’. Music to my ears.

You’ll have to let us know if it quiets down over time. Thanks!

I cant really tell the difference to be honest..I felt like I lost alot of the snap crackle and pops with the stock NPP. When I changed my exhaust system it sounds alot better/cleaner underneath the car instead of that suitcase look.

Mine tends to crackle a lot when cold, but after it's warmed up, it is pretty subtle. If I turn the AC on, it tends to go away too.

I have noticed that the NPP exhaust on the 5th gens seem to me to be louder than our 6 gens! Maybe it’s just me though and don’t know if anyone else has noticed!

my 2013 1LE crackled an popped a lot more than my 2018 1LE. It was actually a let down since I used to love when it did that. However, the 2018 is hands down faster and better in any other way.

The other thing I don't like on my 2018, besides the popping, is the steering wheel feeling when turning. For whatever reason, I don't feel as comfortable when I am turning as with my 2013. The bottom has that bulky thing that is in the way of your hands and does not allow me to fully grab the wheel.

That’s because dfco is disabled until it reaches a certain temperature

My 19 is much quieter than my 17 SS was. I’m hoping it livens up a bit w some miles. I’m looking forward to hearing it in the fall w the cooler 40-50 degree temps

It's all but been confirmed they adjusted the tune for 2019 NPP to allow for a more aggressive sound.

14k miles here. Still just as loud as the day I bought it.

Interesting point about the AC. Will have to pay attention to that once it cools off here and it’s no longer needed.
