Burnouts

Is there a trick to dumping the clutch on these and smoking the tires? Do I have to turn stabil trak off? Sometimes I'll dump the clutch and it will fall on its face

Straight from your owner's manual:

Traction Control/
Electronic Stability
Control
The Traction Control System (TCS)
limits wheel spin. The system turns
on automatically every time the
vehicle is started.
StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) assists with
directional control of the vehicle in
difficult driving conditions. The
system turns on automatically every
time the vehicle is started.
. To turn off TCS, press and
release Y on the console
behind the shift lever. i
illuminates.
. Press Y again to turn TCS
back on.
To turn off both TCS and
StabiliTrak/ESC, press and hold
Y on the console behind the
shift lever until i and g
illuminate.
. Press Y again to turn on both
systems.
See Traction Control/Electronic
Stability Control 0 207.

Some people bought their car's used and didnt get a manual. Even new, sometimes they lose the manual, so save that condescending attitude for your mother.

Without being condescending and as an FYI, the owners manuals are available online at:

Call if whatever you want. I'm providing you with a source of information, instead of "what someone told me one time".

Question has been asked multiple times, owner manual showed to many people. A simple search would have helped. Instead of telling you to search he gave you the complete info. Thanks to him!

Unlike a Mustang on skinny Michelins the 1LE is designed to go, not sit and spin. Depending upon how warm your tires are and the surface you're on it can be pretty hard to spin them.

Cold tires on asphalt is another story, turn off nannies, apply throttle, slip clutch, spin to your hearts content.

Stabilitrak can still be on with Traction Control off.

Stabilitrak controls yaw. Traction Control controls tire slip. Two separate systems with two different missions. Btw you can also go into Competitive Mode and spin rear tires as you please. Hope this helps.

I know that stabiltrak can be in with traction control off, what I'm saying is sometimes I dump the clutch with stabil trak on and traction off and it won't let the wheels spin and other times it has let me spin them. I was curious if it has to do with rpms or something
