ZL1 or ATS-V
Need help guys...I do ministry work (on road full time)...95% of my driving is in the city (large cities) 95% of the time. So, ZL1 or ATS-V...I only ask because so many have warned against ripping off front spiltter in the city...thoughts, please.

If 95% of my driving was in the city, I'd skip on both cars. The ZL1 is not my favorite vehicle to maneuver in that environment and the Cadillac will be a target for general assholes. The ZL1 will also net you low gas mileage while the Cadillac's V6 will do better if you aren't getting into boost. This is the number one reason why I have a prototypical 4 door daily driver.

I have the ZL1. No issues hitting things with the splitter. The front is really not that low. Drive ways, speed bumps and pot holes are fine.
The only issue you might have is if you don't judge the front correctly. The splitter does jut out so you could conceivably hit something if parking end to end. However if you can't judge the front correctly, I suppose the splitter is less expensive the hitting the person in front with the grill.

I've put 2,000 miles on my '13 Z (mostly city) in the past two months...no splitter damage, no curb rash.

Thanks for the recommends guys...It's funny, I accept NOTHING from no one, took me until this far in ife to finally afford a decent muscle/sports car, and the caddy may be a better 'look" than the camaro??? How many "average people" even know what a ZL1 is? Appearances are not everything, and mostly misleading anyway.

OK "Old Fart," that was good...Not that "type" of ministry...I go to the homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, vets, etc...I DO NOT preach....My ministry is simply to help them get to a better place, so that THEY can decide what path they want to take...I build bridges (figuratively), not sermons....My apologies to anyone for not expaining that earlier...DO NOT get me started on 90 percent of "preachers" out there.

BTW Bucknut, thanks for the stats...My issue is, I don't LIVE anywhere, always moving on (after a period of time)...Can't have a second car of any type, and I just finally wanted to feed that muscle/sport jones of mine...Since I don't have normal indulgences (golf, fishing, hunting, vacationing, ect.) I am not worried about MPG and I guess that will be my indulgence...But thanks, again, for the writeup.

I've driven both extensively. I like them both very much. The Caddy is smooth and fast and luxurious. The ZL1 is fast, brutally fast, with instant torque. It is a bit less luxurious than the ATSV. I choose the ZL1, but you really can't go wrong with either.

Thanks....I am probably leaning (heavily, if I'm being transparent) towards ZL1...650/650 is kinda hard to pass up.

If I knew I would have a passenger on any sort of regularity, I would get the V....if it was occasional & mainly me driving, the Z. I wouldn't worry about any other issues. Both great cars.
Thanks for doing what you do... |

No passengers at all...Just me...And thank you, I'm really not what most people are used to seeing...Just a servant, nothing more and no less.

Coming from a 13 ZL1, the 17 ZL1 is not as low in the front.
