As someone else stated , they are designed to go. Even Randy P. has commented on this fact on some of his reviews. What this tells me is that the tire package is very balanced to the power output. That is a good thing

Coming from 4th gen Z's and TA's I have to say it does feel strange to have this car and not really be able to fry the tires at will. The simple answer is with only 460HP and tires that could be on any world class supercar, it's just not that easy. The ZL1 with another 200HP.... sure...Anyway, if it's chilly out sure they'll spin...but with the summer now starting to come into full effect, burnouts really just don't happen in my car.
But good lord does it take a corner |

I'm about to buy a new set of tires and use the USAA discount (hard to believe I can get a set of these SC3s for less than $900 +tax) so I'll probably do a few burnouts on my way to the dealer. There's some pretty decent asphalt on the way.

This car is so fun to drive on windy roads with sharp turns. Its just amazing how well the 1LE handles and with the 6 speed it makes it that much funner. I have no desire to run the quarter mile I'll stick tothe country back roads here in south east PA.

When I do a "burn out" I try not to melt the tires to the cords, but I get what you're saying.

I don't get that, but since I have the Corsa Extreme+ Cat-back, I do often get guys (mostly younger ones) asking to rev. when waiting for the light to change. I usually oblige
