Question Torque Converter Replacement

If you had the TC replaced did it fix your issues 100%?

Hard Shifts
Shuddering
Etc

Recently got the new fluid and flush along with the new revised torque converter. So far so good.

Had my TC replaced with the revised design at around 60k miles early 2019. Shudder returned about 13k miles later. The shudder was confirmed by the tech when they performed the 18-NA-355 bulletin this weekend (flush with new type of fluid). The dealer said they are having better results with this new bulletin than any of the previous fixes so I'm cautiously optimistic.

So far we have not seen any of the GM fixes last. The flushes seem to only be a bandaid, and the GM replacement TC is still showing issues like others above have shared.

We do know of one company making a billet race spec unit that has cured the issue and as they are a higher stall greatly improve acceleration. And they offer them for the V8 and V6 A8.

Cheers!
