Replace SS/1LE Front with LT1’s?
Would this work? I really like the look of the LT1 front-end, it reminds me of the 67-68 RS Hidden-Headlight grill.
Thanks!

I suspect that if you had a complete donor LT1 you could make it work, but you might end up blocking off the airflow to the auxiliary radiators. The LT1 just has body colored plastic in that area, whereas the SS has vents.
I do agree with you, though, that the LT1 front end is arguably better looking than that of the SS. |

The LT1/6 banger grill is the ugliest grill of all. Looks like a snaggle tooth Jacko Lantern crossed with a blue whale. Last edited by Nilly Welson; 07-29-2021 at 11:35 PM. Reason: nv |

I like the LT1 front also but it doesn't allow for the auxiliary coolers.
This 2019 pictures shows how efficient the current front fascia is.

I will trade you my LT1 so you don't have to worry about the cooler issue.

Do what? And some LT1 owners would like to switch to the SS front ends. Makes no sense to me but do what you want because it’s your SS.

That is why I am buying the ZL1 since it has the best-looking front end. Just kidding I have the V6 and now getting the version I really want.

Based on the picture FarmerFran posted you may need to due some improvements to fit the headlight assembly depending on which one you choose as well. The SS has the Oklahoma style pan handle shape to them compared to the LT1 and ZL1.
