SS 1LE or non 1LE

Hey what’s up I’m John and new here. I’m about to order a 1SS but curious if the 1LE package is worth it if I plan to modify the car.

Does the 1LE option hold its resale value?

Should I save the 7K and put that towards a pro charger or Hellion kit? I would probably only track the car a few times a year at novice/intermediate level.

Welcome to the forum John!! Great question man. Tracking or not, I think it still comes down to what factory options you want and what mods you intend to do.

The non-1LE is still a great car to track though, with all the needed coolers included, the 1LE package is not needed for that purpose but the package still has some features that add value off track too.

You can't get HUD on a 1SS any other way, and the HUD is awesome. The MRC, Upgraded Brakes, and NPP are must have items for me too, and the Recaro in the 1LE are much better than the base 1SS seats. Blade spoiler, and front splitter make for a nice aggressive look.

The 1LE wheels are badass, but I could just as fast buy some Apex ARC-8's, so that doesn't sway me much by itself.

For me, considering the factory stuff I want anyway the 1LE is a no brainer. They do hold resale value above a 1SS, but they depreciate just the same(a lot).

These cars prove to be very reliable, my goal is a used 2020+ 1LE in the next 12-18 months with headers and a tune soon after. If I wanted a car to supercharge, I would go used ZL1 without question.

You get a lot for that $7k... also not sure what pricing is like right now, but I could get a bigger discount on a 1LE vs a std SS, it was only a few thousand more. If you can still get SS 1LEs for under $40k it's a great value...
