BTW - it took almost 2qts. Filled initially until it reached the plug, took it off the lift, did a couple of figure 8's in the parking lot and then topped it off again.
I was thinking about doing something like that myself. Good to hear it helps circulate the fluid.

The fluid is the same.

The 1LE/ZL1 has a different diff than the standard SS, so it was a matter of confirming the fill/drain plugs and if there was any special procedure for the diff cooler.

I'd want to run synthetic fluid in the diff and transmission.. Think Motul 300 LS would be good? Don't know what to use for the trans..

According to the supplement the eLSD takes 5.4 oz of additive. I think that is 88900330.

Why not just use the AC delco lube w/ the additive already in it?

I took it to mean 1.6 QT of the 88862624 plus 5.4 oz of Dexron VI. The regular SS fluid capacities have no mention of the additive.

I agree, page 43 of the high performance supplement says 1.6qt with the elsd and below it 5.4oz elsd lubricant for ss1le.

I didn't think the eLSD fluid was supposed to be changed out though, just the diff fluid?

That's the way I took it too. I only put AC Delco fluid back in the diff. It took almost exactly 1.6 quarts.

I think the 5.4 oz gets added to the 1.6qt and it all goes in the rear diff? The H/p supplement specifically mentions the ZL1 and 1LE eLSD on page 43 .

I couldn't find a confirmation if the friction additive was required with the ACDelco fluid?
