Most Interesting Thing You've Done with Any of the Emblems?

What have you done for interesting/cool mods/replacements for the front or rear bowties or fender emblems?

On my 5th gen SS, I had retro emblems -- Camaro script on the fenders, white "SS" emblems replacing the front and rear bowties (similar to a '69 SS). I probably wouldn't do that again, but I liked it at the time.

I love this idea, especially because my second car was a '69. Any probems fitting curves etc? Also, suppliers? TIA!

Bought mine on Amazon 2 years ago, brand is Eckland. The listing was removed, but I think you can find Eckland elsewhere. Emblem Pros?

I used blue painter's tape to mark the location of the original emblems before I took them off so I could locate the new ones in the same place. I made a paper template to locate the final positions of the new emblems using folds at the fender top, door opening and wheel well as reference. Template was useful to insure same placement on both sides. I remember bending the script emblems SLIGHTLY to better match the contour of the fenders before peeling the liner off the foam adhesive.

SLP (now known as Specialty Vehicle Engineering) offered retro style front & rear SS emblems for the 5th gen. The rear would be easy to adapt to a 6th gen (as would a real '69 "SS" logo, I presume -- they can typically be bent or flattened as needed). The challenge would be the front bowtie on a 6th gen. When you remove the stock bowtie, there is still a bowtie outline I believe. And an SS logo wouldn't cover that up... so you'd likely be looking at a custom solution.

Found an old thread about the SLP kit for 5th gens. A couple of pics in the thread: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66133

When buying emblems for first gen, verify the mounting method. I believe back then holes were required through the mounting surface, so reproduction emblems may come with tapped posts instead of adhesive foam.

Love the rear blacked out flowtie idea. Seen someone do it before and even watched a youtube video on how to do it. I dont mind doing it but just wondering if there is anywhere that sells the black flowtie for the rear. I just cant seem to find the time to do it. LOL!
