What are used 6th gen going for around you right now?
Just out of curiosity. Within 75 miles of me not very many new or used.
I do notice like 2017 1ss going for like 33k right now! I paid 31,200 2016, 16500 miles back in sept last year and mine was 2ss with NPP etc. That same car would be like 35k right now. No new ones around unless you want a fully loaded 2ss 1le or rag top. So lets say your SS or LT1 was totaled or stolen right now. Would you overpay for a replacement one or hold out? If it were me I personally probably would buy a c6 low miles corvette like 2008 or 09 and I would then throw on a super charger or cam it and some other mods and call it a day for a couple years. here in FL you can find lots of 2007-2010 used corvettes under 50,000 miles because old guys buy them and don't drive them much. That's my plan if something were to happen to mine. I'd just go for the used vette and SC it. Or I'd get a S197 Mustang like 2014 and SC it. |

you can thank covid for that... A buddy of mine who works at a major dealership said they are paying top dollars for used cars... at least in Fla. inventory is low everywhere.

I checked the blue book on my '19 and it's $43k. I paid $41k for it, it stickered for $46k.
Not selling it of course, but I was just curious. |

16 SS's with the 6 speed are 35+ around here. I paid 28k 2.5 years ago. Tempted to sell... but with two kids now I can't see myself ever convincing my wife to let me get something fun again so I think I need to stand pat. Plus, ALL used cars are going up, and I would still need a car, so while I would make some money, I'd still have to fork over some of the profit.

Yes, you can get a lot more for your SS now, but it doesn't make sense to sell unless you need to, or you can sit on the profits for a while (a year or two?) until things settle back down and then buy a replacement on the cheap.
My Camaro is not my daily, so I could make a profit to be put towards a different vehicle down the road, but I'm not ready to sell her just yet.

I believe it. I was at a local dealership the other day and for Camaros they had one white convertible LT1 on the lot and that's it.

If my car got totaled right now I'd cry and weep. I bout the one for 26k with 19k miles. 2 years ago.
No way I'd be able to get in one now at that price. I'd probably just bide my time and buy a Buick Lacrosse until my next dream car (CTSV3) drops more in price lol |

Sales guys must be hurting not having cars to sell. One who sold to me also was dead during the lockdown and they hurt then too. Older used cars are still easier to find like 2010 vettes. |

Also was a 3 day process which involved leaving the dealer twice, and the second time having him chase me down to agree to the deal. Very lucky timing. |

If you check Cars.com you'll see 117 new SS Camaros for sale in the entire country right now. Used cars are spiking due to lack of new inventory.
The cheapest 6th gen local to me is a 2016 1SS with 10k miles for $34k. For context, I paid $38.5k for my 2020 1SS brand new in late-February right before the crunch hit bad.
