2017 SS shudder showed up at 3500 miles, just had the flush done last week at 4000 so will see if it helps. My build date was in August of 2016 so I'm sure it has one of the old TC that all the 2016's had.

2016 1SS. Shudder showed up around 7K, had the triple flush and all was fine. Now at 20K, it's back but only happens occasionally. Dropped it off for service, but they could not duplicate the shutter. So I'll be driving it until it becomes more consistent. So much for trying to be proactive.

2016 shudder started about 6K. Had 3x flush @ 8K. Now I got 18K and it's back. Haven't taken it back in yet.

2018 V6, Had the shudder and took to a dealership and was told. That it was normal and it was the AFM. Car nows has 7000 miles and took to a different dealership. They were great took the car, gave us a loaner car and had it for two days. They flushed trans, cooler lines and reprogrammed.

This is my daughters car and she said its a total different car now. We will see if it lasts, its been only a month now.

2016 SS, slight shudder showed up at 15K after car got really hot.
Dealer did the triple flush (took my word for it), it's been fine since.

For everyone who is fixing this issue with disabling the AFM, is that voiding warranties? Is that a legitimate fix to the A8 shudder issue? How is the cylinder deactivation impacting the transmission?

Using a range or diablosport afm disabler does not void warranty.

The tcm is programmed to let the TC slip more during the transition, and during v4 mode to help with the engine pulsing.

Disabling v4 mode may not correct the problem, but it surely does not contribute to it.

Having said that, my car hasn't seen v4 mode since the TC replacement. On purpose.

2017 SS. Had the issue around 6000km. Dealer did flush. At about 8000ishkm and has yet to pop up. I hardly drive the car too so I'll give it a year or two before it does.

2017 SS. Issue started around 3500 miles after a year of ownership. Just had the flush and fill with updated fluid and it has been good for about 50 miles so far. Keeping fingers crossed.
