Has anyone had this issue? Toe bolt

Was doing my alighnment today and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the toe to adjust on the right side. Looking at it the plates that the adjustment bolt lines up with have bowed out...

I was able to get it in spec but I can't get the camber I want cause then the toe will be way out.

Yup... however the first damn alignment shop I went to jacked mine up by using a air impact on those bolts and it bowed out the plates... I ended up buying the BMR adjustable toe rods fixed my problem.. Second alignment shop I went to helped me out and then some... Mine was on the right side

Yep mine is the right side as well. No impact used here they just bowed. I can't use the bmr stuff since I need to keep this stock for autocross. Going to have to figure something out. Talking to my dealer next week and if they can't cover it I'll try and push them back in place...

Problem is bending metal back and forth just makes it weaker.... and its attached to the subframe to boot so not easy to replace. Get a fatter washer that will reach out to the bowed part maybe?, this is the first thing my 2nd alignment shop tried and they almost got it back to normal but still could not.. You cant use adjustable toe rods for autocross ? Sorry not familiar with autocross rules.

I can't use aftermarket adjustments for the stock classes. I also have no plans to jump to a different class since the car is competitive in its stock form.

Well it does make me feel better that I'm not the only one this has happened to. I have an email into my Chevy service manager so I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

Could you post the picture within the thread? That link doesn't work for me. I'm interested in understanding the issue you're having.

Yea I'd say that's pretty blown out. Ouch. I have no idea if GM would warranty that. It is crap, but I'm also feeling the "you touched it so it's not covered" excuse being played. Send them to your dealership service manager and ask for advice.

Worst case scenario (if warranty won't cover) pull the bolt & collar and (in order to stay in FS) clean the metal up and run a weld a line just inside and take a Dremel to clean up the shape... Then respray to prevent corrosion... Interesting to see what the dealership says...

Contact me directly here at BMR Suspension and I can get you sorted out with a set of
TR007 toe rods to help remedy this situation.

cant use those for autoX classing reasons but I thank you.

Car went into the shop today. They looked at it and they are having a body tech bend the tabs back in and maybe reinforce it with a bead of weld but im not sue there yet.

I had the car on floating plates but apparently they want no weight on it when adjusting it.
