So here’s today’s drink of choice. Should I do 93 or should I do E85? Given the price spread, it was a no-brainer.

Good price on E85, honestly if you can't figure this out? Haha

If the car sits a lot don’t run e85. If you store it for winter don’t store it with e85. E85 will pick up moisture a lot fast than gas. You also get less mileage with it. If you have the car tuned for you will see a power increase. For what I do with the car E85 is a big no go and it is a very common fuel where I live

I have let E60 sit in my tank all winter while the car resides in climate controlled storage and never had a issue. It is winter blend E so that could likely be the difference. Yes E85 nets less mileage then 93 but it also cost less. So the overall cost to operate makes E slightly cheaper to run and it gains power. Now if you were comparing to the cost of 87 octane then yes 87 is cheaper to operate and likely why E85 has never full taken off because most vehicles are spec'd to run 87. We already hashed this out before on this forum.
