1st gen. / 6th gen. owners...

Just was curious if there are any multiple Camaro generation owners out there?
I'm sure there is...

This is the first Camaro I was interested in owning.
Living in the Northeast a first Gen Camaro is a terminal cancer patient, needing daily care to keep the condition under control, slowly rusting away in your garage while you sleep.

If I lived somewhere like the Southwest I would probably never own a newer car as I would have always had classic cars.

Nice pair!

I always liked the '67 and '68 better than everyones favorite, the '69.

I have owned only two Camaro's so far. A 1967 RS and 2018 SS 1LE. Unfortunately don't have the '67 anymore. I drag raced 1/4 mile with it a lot then sold it back in 1990. Wish I never did and always on the look out for a decent first gen that isn't crazy expensive. Getting hard these days.

You can see a picture of it hanging in my shop in the background. Ran low 10's at 132 mph back in the mid 1980's. All steel except for the hood. Had a ton of fun with that car!

How long have you had that beautiful red '67 SS?

My first Camaro was a 1988 IROC that I had in high school. Sold it in 2008, found it in 2013 and started to do all the stuff I wanted to when I was younger. T56 transmission, LT1, 12-bolt Moser, etc. It's still not done b/c I've been spending my summers tracking more modern stuff.

But it looks real good in the garage next to the 1LE.

Same here. I never considered Camaro before now.

When I was in high school I drooled over Charcoal Gray colored 67' & 68' Mustangs.

I ended up owning both a 67' and 68' Mustang when I got older, but never a newer Mustang and never a Camaro. I have had 6 Corvettes though of the C5 and C6 generations, all Z06's

I got bit by the Camaro and Trans Am bug very early in life. My grandfather owned a 67 Camaro RS in granada gold with gold interior we used to drive around in all the time. He had it forever until it rusted out and fell apart in MA. My dad owned a 69 Camaro RS/SS in fathom green with green interior that I loved as a kid. He also owned a 70 Camaro RS/SS split bumper white with tan rally stripes. My first Camaro was a 1983 Z28 with cross fire injection in 1989-1995. Ugh that killed it for me and Camaros until the 5th Gen's came out! Since then until a few months ago when I picked up my 17 1LE, I have owned ALOT of Trans Ams. Wish I still had a few of my old cars. Congrats to the lucky guys that have 1st and 6th Gen's!!

Thanks mcatron. The car wasn't always that clean, but since I got it back it's gotten the royal treatment. I was originally building it for my track car, but after tracking my C6 Vette with ABS, TCS, and all the nannies...I decided I wasn't confident enough to track without them.

My build thread is here if you're interested...
