Wheel Hop

Was leaving for work this morning turning onto the highway and I got to 30kmh and put the pedal down and what I think I was feeling was wheel hop let off instantly.

No TCS cut in cause I had it turned off, Might it be the Electronic Diff?

If anyone else experienced this what did you do to eliminate it?

Absolutely no mods done to the car yet 2018 2SS 1LE.

Why would you turn off TCS if you're driving it on the street?

i usually have TCS completely off when driving PERIOD @Laststandard, but OP, I have found that BMR is very helpful in this matter and i will be purchasing there suspension parts to help resolve our bad wheel hop on these cars, its at around $800 for the parts needed. I'll get the info to you but i just have to go searching for the info. I'll be purchasing these early december as thats when i get back from being out of the country and my build will begin. So i'll definitely update once those are in the car as when i'm at the track its 10x worse then when i'm on the street.

mine had wheel hop. Got the alignment checked and the rear toe was way off. Wheel hop stopped. If that doesn't help you need to go further with the BMR lockout kit or solid cradle bushings.

I've never had wheel hop, and also I had mine set to the GM Track alignment as part of the PDI. Anecdotal, but not necessarily irrelevant. It's exceptionally rare for a Camaro to come off the shipping truck with a good alignment.

Wheel hop in 6gen Camaros depend mostly on road surface. You should t see much in a 1LE but it does raise its weary head sometimes. And yes bmr’s mods for wheel hop will help matters. Remeber this car was designed for road course and you should never have wheel hop on track.
