Tow Hooks
I need a tow hook. The obvious choice is ZL1-Add Ons. But, I just looked on EBay and there is a bunch of Chinese knock-offs at a 5th of the price! I could buy 5 of them! Plus ZL1 Add-ons is not very friendly when it comes to shipping to Canada. With the exchange and shipping the fu$#@r is close to $300.
Recommendations? Comments? |

You probably already know but a tow hook should of come with your vehicle. Black, straight and plain. Not much to look at.
I have seen a few that are hinged and red. Really sharp. |

Somewhere on the forum, someone indicated those Chinese knockoffs are way too long, making them stick out and look like shxx.

i see them listed on ZL1 ADDONS for $120. (if i'm looking at the right one, 2015-2019 camaro) how much would it cost me to ship it to you?? If this works for you, hit me up with a message.

Look in your trunk. The OEM one is the best one to have. Much more sturdy than the ZL1 Addons which feels cheap compared to the OEM tow hook.
Don't have to worry about shipping/exchange rate, etc.

i got one from zl1addons i put it on at the track and put my license plate back on after works great

Usually the chinese ones are really, really cheap metal and not nearly as strong as OEM. They will bend/deform pretty easily from what I've heard.

Just spend the extra $$ and get the ZL1Addons GT4 tow hook. It's nice, solid and looks good.

Nothing like having a Chinese knock-off tow hook break when the track marshal's rescue team is trying to pull your car out of T12's Gumballs. Then again, if you actually tracked your car you wouldn't be thinking about a "cheap" tow hook so you must be a poser or a newb to road racing.

If you're going for looks only then cheap is fine. If you want function, then stick with the factory hook. If you want both, then paint the factory hook or go with the big-bux ZL1A option...
