Camaro Q2 2021 sales drop 58.2%

Press release is just out from GM.

Camaro dropped from 6,675 in Q2 2020 to 2,792 in Q2 2021. That's a decrease of 58.2%...

We all know they have problems getting the production running, but this is really really bad

Almost everything but trucks has tanked tremendously over the last year, so, ya.

For a second I thought I was looking at monthly sales numbers, not Q2 numbers for the Camaro. It is indeed really bad. The future of the (ICE) Camaro is not bright.

What do they expect when the bean counters at GM didn't keep a supply of semi conductors and cancelled semi conductor orders?

They have a few thousands Camaros sitting in MI. They can't blame poor sales on people not wanting it.

Ouch. Big decline from Q1 '21 too. Sales for Q1 were 7,089

I mean who didn't see these numbers coming? Curious to see how ford and dodge fared.

Not only are there none to be had locally (camaro's). The used ones are priced on the dealers lots for more than the MSRP was when the cars were new.

Probably not great either but probably not as bad as Camaro. I think I saw the C8 outsold camaro by almost 6K units

The Mustang numbers are Q1 '21 whereas the OP numbers are Q2 '21. But you can compare the 17,274 to the Q1 '21 numbers I posted above (7,089 Camaros).

The Challenger numbers are Jan - May '21, so more than a quarter's worth of sales. Then below that they have the same number for Q1...

However, Camaro is still getting crushed. Been that way for a while now, so not surprising by any means.

Sorry. Didn't catch the Q2.

15,052 - Challenger
Doesn't look like Mustang reported yet. Expected to drop 50%
