Recommend getting headers and flex fuel sensor to make power

don't want e85
not sure about headers... don't want to move stock cats and then there the whole warranty thing... i am pretty sure i can get away with the tune... (it seems to me that no one has actually had a warranty claim denied because of a tune... i have asked around and no one seems to have had that happen to them, and any tuner you speak to says they have never had an issue) don't think they will notice throttle body and intake (i plan on buying a stock throttle body to throw on if needed) cold air wont void any warranty... it may seem silly but i have this idea that id like to make 500 at the crank.... i feel like these mods will get me there "440 ish" at the wheels should be right about there .... |

I'm guessing you will pick up 25-30whp with those mods. You could also do the CA performance test pipes that bolt in place of your factory cats. That would be worth another 10-12whp if you don't have to worry about emissions.

If you get a tune, assume you are running without a warranty. |

but do you know of anyone personally that had a claim denied because of a tune
and just a tune...? no e85 headers or other obvious signs of tampering? in have a 2012 grand Cherokee that went in for multiple engine related issues and the tune never came up.... everyone on those forums said the same thing ... tune voids warranty yet never had that issue |

You can stick your head in the sand but if a major drive component fails your kidding yourself if you don't GM is gonna request a screenshot of the current calibration verification numbers from the dealer your very mistaken. Yes I do know someone who has had their warranty denied because of that on an ATSV everything returned to stock configuration including the original saved file that came off the ECU. Once the calibration that left the factory is changed its a wrap. I'd expect to see in the the 20-25 wheel area from the mods you listed.

out of curiosity...
was his tune the cause of the failure and if not then I'm of the understanding that even though a lawyer may need to get involved, they have to prove the damage was caused by a tune? |

The PCM controls every part of the powertrain, so by changing it they can deny coverage. You could try and fight it but there is no repair large enough to justify you trying to battle it out with GM's lawyers. You'd be tied up in court for years and go broke.

A tune on 93 pump gas with the accessories you mentioned will not gain you much. Unless you want to go the e85 route than I would suggest staying stock with the PCM.
