(solved) Cel light above 2000 rpms

If cel light only blinks randomly when getting above 2500 rpms after a cam swap. Engine checks out good (both compression and leak test), spark pugs a little brown (indicating lean), Idles fine and drives fine, plus absolutely no codes. Has a bit of a gas smell after driving, buy only after driving. When idling before driving no gas smell. its only when parking after driving. I'm thinking spark timing is off and needs to be advanced in tune. Power and response seems to be down to. Is it possible the computer retarded the timing after tune? Im just out of ideas after doing every check i can think of. Ran fine for a couple weeks, then problem progressively got worse.

vvt3 tsp cam
tsp headers
rotofab intake
dod delete
borla exhaust
lash capped the fuel pump

Have you scanned for code(s) via the OBD2 port?

A flashing CEL is a misfire condition.

I am aware, but there is no misfire. Also turning left keeps the light on. No misfire codes at all. As much as it blinks, it would at very least throw a p300 code.

Solved.. feel kinda retarded and cant believed I missed it. Under the coolant resivore the harness that leads to the cabin was just barely touching header. As engine got hotter the heat was causing the voltage in the cable to be sporadic and jumping out of tolerance to the computer. Pulled it away and zip tied it better and no more blinky blinky!!
