I had the same high speed shudder. Had the rotors replaced under warranty.

So the car doesn't shake or vibrate when you use the brakes, but it shakes/vibrates above 80 mph.

Sounds like tires to me.

No, it's when I brake. I'm just saying that the steering wheel doesn't shake or vibrate, but rather the whole cabin, and under 80ish it doesn't do it.

I would definitely not call my kind of driving heavy driving, but I do periodically do WOT runs that require me to brake at high speeds. Zero track use though. But yes, you are right, they don't even appear to be good for even periodic hard braking.

That would usually indicate an issue with the rear brakes...

Yeah, the stock pads are dusty, but I'm a sucker for proper braking performance and don't mind putting some elbow grease into cleaning now and then.

What I did was having wheels ceramic coated, which made cleaning very easy. The majority of the dust simply rinses off now, and the wheel cleaner takes care of the rest. I drive a little after washing to get rid of surface rust and that's all there is to it.

Wasn't trying to give you a lecture. The car makes speed so easy you can go right thru the brakes in one application. Coming to a complete stop like you have to on the street on hot brakes never helps. The pads look like they chunked bad.

I get it, I didn't take it that way. You're right but damn, these brakes are so enormous I would think they can handle a periodic hard brake, but then again, the pads are likely not up to the task in this case.

I would normally agree but the rears look great and there is no back and forth tugging movement in lower speeds which is usually rear brakes. I'm assuming it's front simply by how screwed up the rotors look. Not saying your wrong though.

Anyone run anything aftermarket that is in between oem and the PS Z26?

I tried to warn people about these pads but no one listened. They see cheap price and less dust and just assume they are great.

I don't know that I ever saw a warning, on the contrary, I saw a lot of great reviews. I don't like them though, but no one has offered me any other solution either.

There is no middle ground?
