(Non F/I only) Highest dyno'ing cam only car? Highest H/C?

Just curious what we've seen yet?

I don't think my build will be highest cam only but I think it will be on the higher side of things...

Post up videos or usernames... use of E85 is fine.


And for the guy who inevitably says "only track times matter" - While I agree to a point - A8 cars are quicker mod for mod every time (and some of us don't drag race but instead ROAD RACE - ie SS 1LE guys like me ), so I'm just curious about WHP figures for now

And for the guy who says "all dynos are different" - Yes I know, but I'm curious anyway and hope this thread gives a large data set to draw upon

Why such a big cam and chasing peak numbers if you’re not drag racing? aren’t you losing a lot of mid range power?

The general consensus is a Cam only car will end up around 500-530whp, Heads/Cam cars around 550-580 depending on the setup and fuel. There are a couple LLSR cam cars pushing 600. I also believe there is a 440ci Vette around 700.

I know there are some 466ci builds making 650 on 93 and some over 700 wheel na . Also the intakes are killing them wish one would use the Holley high ram .

LLSR?
LLSR is low lash solid roller. It was late to the game on LS3's but, made huge power. They're more expensive to get setup but, it'll make some no-kidding power. I've been interested in going with LLSR but, all I seem to get is feedback about how expensive the swap is and not the potential.

Yeah I'm more meaning stock displacement - I do long for a 427 or bigger NA motor some day... but that'll be a while

Hit Brett Stewart up on that. LLSR shouldn't be that much more to run if you are willing to take the time and shim each rocker arm for precise preload...then you could run stockers with a trunion upgrade. Just need the correct springs and lifters. The big increase in cost is if you move to a different type of rocker arm.

I've had quite a few conversations with him about my next plans. We will see what I do next. I'm on that cusp of making a decision to stay all motor or go with boost.
