I wish we had a track like this in Charlotte! The ZL1 will be in my garage, Will be the last muscle car I get which will be passed down to my kids. I thought my V6 is fast this is ludicrous speed! I will have my V6 to use as training wheels until I acquire the ZL1.
LOL My 1984 Z28 had 165 HP. |

And as far as HPDE or road racing in Charlotte they will sometimes have HDPE at Charlotte Motor Speedway using the infield course and some of the oval. I have never been to one myself but keep your eyes open at places like Speedventures or Motorsportsreg for events when they are posted. Other "close" tracks are VIR and Road Atlanta which I would go to at some point myself.

Is anyone planning on going to Cars and Coffee this weekend? I am going to be going in my 5th Gen 1LE and was hoping to meet with some of you 6th Gen guys. I am also going to be bringing my camera to take pictures during and hopefully after it's over too. I am going to head down to that area tomorrow to scout out some locations to take pictures since it's really difficult to get anything good with all of the other cars and people around during the event. Let me know if anyone is going or would be available after for pictures.
Here are a few pics I took from the last 2 car shows in the area, the Trump Concours d'Elegance and the Americarna show just last week. (I am getting errors trying to upload the rest of the pictures, I will try again later)

Not a single 6th Gen that I could see at Cars and Coffee this weekend! Lots of Mustangs and BMW's and a few Exotics though. I had a great time, and I was able to take a few good shots of some of the awesome cars that were there. Next one is January 7th hopefully we can have a better Camaro showing then. (I really want to take some nice shots of your guys 6th Gens)

How many people are heading to the C&C in Charlotte this weekend? I will be in Daytona at the Rolex 24 when the Upstate C&C (Greenville, SC) takes place so charlotte will be my only chance to get to a meet until the 4th saturday of Feb.

I am planning on going if there is no snow/rain. (my tires even if they were brand new couldn't handle it) Does anyone know if they reschedule for stuff like this or do they just skip it until next month?

There was a lot of very loud engine revving on a Saturday morning with an apartment complex nearby and the tenants there were very upset. When cars were leaving there were a few burnouts and aggressively fast exits from the parking lot by, you guessed it 2 Mustangs. Cars and Coffee Charlotte has already lost 2 previous venus due to this type of behavior, and while I expect that no one here would engage in anything like that, it never hurts to offer a reminder.
