August 6th

Gates Open: 6:30 AM

Registration: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM - $5.00 On-Site Registration Fee

Late Registration: 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM - $10.00 Late Registration Fee

Tech Inspection: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Novice Walks: 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM

Novice Meeting: 9:30 AM

Drivers Meeting: 9:45 AM

First Car Out: 10:15 AM

We usually finish around 4pm. Loaner helmets are available if you want to ride with anyone and most drivers are cool with letting people ride. (they are going for time and some of us can be competitive so if someone says no don't take it personally) I don't want to derail your guys other plans for Cars and Coffee that day, so if you would like to drive we have another event on August 30th at the same location.

Hey Ace01 were you the owner of the black 6th Gen I saw parked in the pit area for a short time? I was in grid waiting for my runs when I saw the car but couldn't really leave to say hi. Your video had to have been taken during my run group since I recognize the Grey Mustang who is also runs in the same class I am in. Next time come out and drive you will have a great time! Our next event is August 20th.

Yes that was me. I will be in Detroit that week for the Camaro 50th. Will catch a race in September. Working on getting OEM take off rims to mount some race tires. I would tear up my street tires on the track. That is the biggest SCCA track I have ever seen! I raced in the past in my GTI, R32 and my daughters MINI from 2007 to 2010 at Knights stadium which was a tiny track compared to Zmax.

Yes we are blessed to have zMax as our home venue, it is very large and the guys that design the courses are really good about using the entire area. Most laps were in the high 60 or low 70 second range on Saturday. I was disappointed in my performance this weekend but it was still good enough for 1st place in FS but I was down about 20 to 30 places in Pax time.

Our next event after the one on August 20th is September 24th. If you make it please PM me and I will try to hold a spot for you in the pit area with the rest of the guys I hang out with and introduce you to everyone. It sounds like you have done Autocross before so you wont need newbie help but its always good to know people right off the bat. Hope you can make it.

They always seem to schedule these on the same days we have Autocross at zMax. There is a C&C in early December I will see if I can make that one now that the Autocross season is over. Since this C&C is later in the day why not swing by zMax beforehand and at least take a look. There is a 2nd Gen Camaro sponsored by Detroit Speed signed up that is running in CAM, it looks and runs fantastic and is definitely worth seeing. So come by check out the cars, chat with the drivers and maybe get a ride or two with someone, it should be a really fun day.
