Weeping coolant from water pump?

My ZLE has some moisture and the smell of coolant faintly from the engine bay. No loss from the tank, but I see some moisture in the holes on the water pump pulley. Is this a common issue? Im fully bolted on so Im hoping the dealer will honor the warranty for that.

Dont think I have seen any threads about that issue being common. I have two different ZL1's and nothing like that on mine so far.

Called my friend who is a tech at the local dealer he said he will fix it and that its a common issue across all camaros. Car only has 12k but has lived a hard life of tracking in Florida.

So, it is your water pump that’s failing?

Car is now fixed, water pump seal was going out. Dealer replaced entire manifold on the front of the motor. All is well now. No real explanation for why it happened.

This happens on all sorts of cars. Just keep on motoring and don’t worry about it.

Im sorry, I dont know what cars youve owned, but even down to the shittiest car I had as a teenager, I never had a water pump start to leak.

You have to be dense to not want to get that fixed.
