GM approved to Repurchase or Replacement my 2018 camaro 2ss

Hey guys, just got a call from GM, said they approved to replace a vehicle or replacement. I don't know what to choose.

For replacing a new vehicle, they said they will get a comparable vehicle like the one I have. but my question is my car MSRP is 51k. But I got a BIG DISCOUNT when I purchased it. so will they do the same MSRP replacement or the deal I got when I signed the contract?

OR I JUST LET THEM BUY MY VECHLIE BACK ????

I would think they would want a matching MSRP

GM doesn't care how much you paid for the car. The dealer decided how much they want to sell it for.

So I guess they will let you get a car that has a similar MSRP, and not a similar selling price (what you got lower than others).

Hello OP, been there done this. GM should allow an equal value on the replacement unless the new car is more on the sticker. If not complain big time.

If you take the cash, remember you will pay full tax on the car you buy. But if you want a non gm car then go for it getting all you paid including tax. So it is somewhat of a wash. And you can buy 2019 ZL1s in the mid to high $50Ks!!! But most likley not through your deal.

Also this will take a while so take a loaner if they will give you one. You may also find the dealer with the replacement car might not want to take on a buyback deal. Not much in it for them unless GM sweetens the pot.
