You probably get the basic differences now. Best advise at this point?? Test drive as much as you can, and if possible in the area you traverse.

I owned a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack for 2 years before I bought my 2018 Camaro SS vert.
Power wise the Camaro feels quicker since it grabs far better than the Challenger did. There is no comparison in handling. The Camaro wins hands down. The Challenger is big, and you feel it when trying to corner. The Challenger was more comfortable and roomier inside. The trunk is huge as well. The Hemi in the Challenger just sounded great with stock exhaust. If you need a back seat that is useable then the Challenger is a better car. The Camaro back seat is tiny. My 9 year old barely fits with the passenger seat pulled way up. Both cars are really a lot of fun. It just depends on what your needs are with the car. |

To me, my Challenger felt like a muscle car, where my Camaro feels like a sports car. Both awesome cars. My Challenger worked great when my kids were young, now that their older and i'm mostly driving solo, the Camaro is perfect.
I wouldn't worry about strangers opinions on the internet, go down and test drive both of them and see what works for you. Good luck!

Being the guy that sells what ride_02000 engineers, you can't go wrong either way.
I turned in my 2011 SS Camaro for a Charger R/T. While not a Scat Pack, it is a fun car, handles much better than you might think. Challenger is much the same, these are very well engineered cars. They have a very natural feel interior wise, everything just makes sense. Though, if going with the Scat Pack, I would highly, very highly recommend dropping the extra $6K for the Widebody package, it's much more than bigger wheels and flares. Fast forward, I turned that Charger over for an '18 SS with a stick. No looking back for me. It accelerates and handles like an overpowered go-kart. The drawbacks are that the interior has some quirks, like the window switches are just in weird spot. I'm not a big fan of the My Link system vs. Uconnect, the Uconnect is simply far superior in every way. If I could put the 6.4 Hemi in the SS, it would be a perfect car! |

the visibility problems disappear the more you drive the car. took 4 years in a 5th gen and 1 year in the 6th gen for me to no longer have visibility problems. Just have to learn how to set and use the mirrors and rear camera.

Depends on who you ask. Go to as Chall. forum they will say Dodge, a Chevy forum will say Camaro. Go to a Mustang Forum.

Both are good in their own ways. As stated above, the Challenger is a bigger car so it has more legroom, headroom, trunk space (especially the opening to get in the thing), but it also feels bigger as your turn it's just the physics of it. The Camaro is smaller, more nimble and agile, but if you're a bigger person you might feel cramped especially around the shoulder area, and the trunk is laughable in size.
The best thing to do is to drive them both and see which you like better. There's things about both that I like and things about both that I don't. To pick between the two, I'd have to go back and drive both back to back again.

Scat pack is heavier and like a boat compared to a Camaro. It won't handle nearly as well. The only advantage to the size is more usable leg room in the back. Drive both and get what you want!

Yes 35 otd is a great deal. If you had to come here and ask such a question perhaps you should consider a Prius? Lol
Just kidding of course....pull the trigger already!! On a side note...I would take a Scat Pack over a 6gen for a daily, but for a toy/weekend car Camaro all day. Simply because I would want more room for a daily. I have driven, wrenched on, and tuned both platforms...so I have plenty of experience with both.

Thank you all for the input,
I test drove the challenger scat pack again last night and man that thing is big! Haha I got it up to 80 with the sales guy permission on an open road and no traffic or people . I was a little sketchy putting the power down because it fishtailed on me. The 245 tires are definitely not the best for the boat. The SS just handles everything better for sure. |

I have owned 2 Camaro 6th gens and driven at least 4 different Challangers.
OP it is simple, unless tracking is a big concern for you the choice is flipping a coin. The Camaro is a better "Sports car" It is more fun to drive, especailly in the twisties. It is more fuel efficient. It is smaller and much lighter. Think of the Camaro as a front engined Corvette with an unusable back seat just like a 911. The Camaro SS is one of the best ovrall performance values on the planet and a great track car with better tires. The SS 1LE is even better. It is the BMW (when the BMW name meant something special) of the current US muscle cars. The Challenger is a better and more useful "car" It is also fun to drive, but turns the fun value down a few notches As to looks, I would say both with the right touches can be great looking. But Camaro owners are very vocal that unless the Camaro looks like a 60s version of the Camaro it is ugly and there is also a taillight and Flow Tie appreciation fetish among them. But of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder and no one should ever care at all about anyone elses opinion. And if you choose a Camaro, wait a little bit for thr 2019 20% off Chevy fire sale. This yearly house cleaning may be why Camaro resale numbers are so awful. So if you choose a Camaro plan on keeping it a long time so that will not matter to you.
