What to do with fueling?

I have a 2022 camaro SS 1LE, its fbo and A10 trans car has just over 12k on it. Now heres a list of mods

BTR 220 cam, BTR pushrods, Johnson 2110R lifters.

PRC LTX heads with 2.165 in and 1.60 ex stainless steel valves, che bronze guides, 660 platnium springs, titanium retainers, an ARP bolts

Ported MSD intake manifold with Katech 103mm tb.

Mighty Mouse oil catch can, DSX flex fuel kit, Rotofab dry intake, Moroso race 40 wires with ceramic boots.

Kooks 1 7/8s headers, green high flow cats, custom 3 inch stainless steel exhaust with xpipe from cats to stock valved muffler.

Unlocked t93 tcm

Made 550 rwhp on pump in 6th gear n runs amazing. But we all want more. Got a great deal on a 4 month old D1X procharger stage 2 intercooler, red bypass valve, all the kit. Bought a aem meth kit an the dsx baro breakout harness. I have 32% fuel lobe on the cam an at 4500 above sea level fuel is great with current mods.

If i want to just put the d1x on run 5-6 psi low boost any reason i should need more than meth? Dont wanna do the lt4 system until I go to the darton sleeved 427 short block next year. But if its needed now would like to know what others have done. What power level am i lookin at with adding this kit on low boost?

I'm not an expert, but what I've found... in a general sense... is that HP scales linearly with pressure. Divide boost pressure by 14.7 to get an approximate percentage value and then multiply your NA horsepower by 1 + the percent from the prior calc.

5 lbs of boost ÷ 14.7 = .34 then add 1 to that, then multiply your NA 550 HP by 1.34 for 737HP @ 5lbs and 770 @ 6lbs.

Thats all a nice theory, but in reality it will vary greatly depending on many things. Addl drag from the blower will reduce that, other components may be a restriction at higher power level etc..., so with a good fudge factor, i would guess 650RWHP to 725 RWHP.

I didnt read anything about if your bottom end is forged, so meth is probably risky. I wouldnt want to run at 650-700+ HP on pump gas + meth on a non-forged BE.

I dont know how much E content your setup would handle with that fuel lobe. I just dont have any experience there.

Not sure if the LT4 stuff will support your fueling needs either. I'd think about port inj.

Again not an expert.

You will be safer if you can run E50 + meth on that setup. But in reality, if you already have a short block in the works, then just send it. Who cares if it blows. lol

Well after much thought goin to take care of the shortblock first then il go forced induction. Thanks guys makes a lot of sense to have a strong foundation before adding more on top.

So ill just be selling the procharger for now and i ordered a darton sleeved 427 shortblock to enjoy for the next year with a cam motion 235/248 630/620 115+4 cam should be enjoyable and fun til i decide my next move. Maybe ill just leave it be after, maybe a nice 200 progressive shot.

Well you’ve already done the hard part of the fueling when you did the cam. The lt4 in tank pump will take you surprisingly far especially with a jms booster. Next step would be the inline fuel pump or a dual or triple in tank pump. The lt4 injectors will be next when you do stroker or Procharger.

If you already have the procharger, slap it on with port injection and Katechs dual drop in pump, run full E85 with 8psi of boost and it will make enough power to run high 9's. Shouldn't have any trouble at that power level on the SBE with proper tuning.
