Voltage boosters 100% does not reduce reliability of the pumps.

They are not connected to the pumps they are connected to the FSCM.

Higher voltage supplied to the FSCM reduces duty cycle at the pump by up to 40%

Electric fuel pumps run cooler at lower duty cycles and run faster at higher voltage.

There is more time to cool between pulses when you are less than 100% duty cycle.

100% duty cycle means on for 1 off for 1,

50% duty cycle means on for 25% off for 75% hence more time to cool.

Ted.

My .02. I've been runing Meth since 2018. It has never failed. Pump did started leaking after a year and was replaced under warranty...(but it was still functioning). I also have hundreds of WOT pulls. Like Kerry....my failsafe is IAT temp.

Seriously, what is the point of the original post? Is there a new failsafe you implemented or something, Kerry? Or is this just a thread to promote the use of meth injection? I'm still lost.

Everyone is just so down on meth and it is possible for it to fail just like anything else. So its nice to have that peace of mind and honestly with a car making the kinda power mine is, looking at a afr gauge is not where your attention should be for sure.

I have 3 setups now the one I just did, and car is so dependent should it stop it would fall on its face, and the old temp thing.

But what if it partially stopped like one nozzle stopped up or something, then what. Thats where this system would come it to play.

I was just excited about it.
Cool! I still must have missed what the system IS though. Is there something that used to be in your first post that isn't anymore? I don't see pictures, a link, an explanation, nothing. Will someone please explain what I'm missing here? Lol. I can't be THAT forum illiterate.

Super cryptic new invention, that's already been invented and used. Might be smoking it instead of spraying it...

I just ordered a new Prometh pump. My pump isn’t bad and has never leaked but I am changing it due to it being 5 years old and it being on 100% methanol. I am considering switching to a water ethanol mix for a little cooling and it being less corrosive. To the OP, if you do decide to run methanol, do a trunk tank. It will keep your pump out of the elements. You won’t have water running into the pump. Mount your pump horizontally. You don’t want a methanol leak going through the cracks of the pump and seazing the bearing. I can’t stress enough to always check your tank level. Test the system before every drive and make sure you feel the car stumble and go rich on your AFR gauge. If it doesn’t go rich do not go wide open throttle. Check your pump for leaks often, use braided stainless line, not the cheap plastic stuff that can melt or rub through causing a fire. Lastly, pull your jets every six months and drop them in an ultra sonic cleaner, take them apart and run a fine speaker wire through the orifice. It’s something that you must always be mindful of. I’m in the camp that it could go at any moment. I’ve had a good run but I’m always thinking about it. With bigger injectors and port systems out there now I would consider those before going this route again. It’s great and makes power but that comes with major responsibility

Can you elaborate the new failsafe system you're using? We're all curious.

One of the systems we have used is a pressure sensor just before the nozzle that communicates with the Alky controls box

Then tie it to the boost controller (turbo application) and set it to run in scramble mode aka Higher boost when pressure is present, and dump the scramble mode if pressure drops.

In a PD application, you could combine this with a smooth boost, you can possibly dump boost when no pressure is present.

Or use it to dump pressure to bypass valve and let it open.

I have come up with hundreds of different solutions over my career but don't always find time to market them.

@Kerry (OP). Where did all the info go? You posted a lot of information yesterday and now it's gone.
