New 2018 SS. Awesome!

Totally in love with the 6th Gen Camaro SS! I've driven a couple of the 5th gens, owned many 3rd and 4th gens. All I can say is wow. Way better than I thought it was going to be!

The new LT1 paired with the 8 speed automatic was a pleasure to drive. What an OEM powerhouse and impressive shifting.

I was surprised how loud the exhaust was on the cold start. I expected it to be much quieter than it was.

They are awesome. I still smile every time I start mine. It's been 6 weeks since I got mine and I still look for excuses to go to the store for the wife. Lol. Ice gotcha. Need milk I'm on it. What's that you say we are out of gelatin oh we can't have that I'll head right on out and get some. Congrats to you man. Enjoy. Ps. If you need an excuse to drive it let me know. I'm building a long list of them.

Congrats, they are awesome rides. I've had my 16ss for almost 2 years and just has 11800 miles on it. Auh it does have over a 150 1/4 and 1/8 miles passes down the track. You'll love it more after you've driven it a while.

Haha, only 150 passes?! That's getting your money's worth!

Have you had any issues with it after driving it hard for that long?

Anyone running into any issues with their new A8 SS's after a longer period of ownership?

Looking at buying an A8 C7/C7Z. Curious how good the transmissions really are.

There are a few threads where folks are having issues with the torque converter. Dealers have tech bulletins on how to resolve this. Just keep an eye on it and be prepared to visit the dealer if you experience the same issues.

Please note that the A8 in the Camaro and the A8 in C7 are different transmissions. Similar in internal box design, but different transmissions. The C7 is mounted way in the rear behind a long driveline tube.

I've had no issues, it take all the power I've given it which is about 670 rwhp so far. I'll already have started my build for 2018, roll cage, Lt4 injectors, 5 more lbs of boost for about 730 rwhp and that should get me in the 9's and about another 130 plus runs next year.

Nice car. This is my first Chevy and I'm really impressed with the Camaro having come from a 2007 Mustang GT, and a pair of BWM 335is. Performance-wise it can't compare to my Suzuki Hayabusa but I'll trade that for the Camaro's creature comforts of being an AC/heated, well-appointed car.
