Will you be placing an order right away? [poll]

So, this is a pretty boring question but I'm curious what my fellow 1LE forum watchers are planning.

If we assume the 1LE ordering is open in September, how many of you are planning on ordering the car pretty much right away? For a lot of us we have been waiting what feels like FOREVER to have pricing announced.

Are you ready to put your order in right away? Are you planning on buying one but need to wait a while? Or has the announced pricing turned you off of the car completely?

If adding good tires to a 1SS with MRC gets the performance fairly close to a 1LE , I might go that route. Especially if the year end discounts get better on the base models. I might get a base 1SS with MRC and just put better tires on it and possibly upgrade to 1LE suspension one day depending on the upgrade costs. For the 2 times a year I'd track it, I'm not sure I really need to spend $6500 for those extra 3 seconds a lap. As many have pointed out already, the basic SS is already delivering M4 performance, How much more performance do you need? Upgrading tires alone should make it at least a second a lap faster than an M4. That would get you closer to the 1LE lap times. But we'll see how it all plays out.
I get what you're saying, but for me I want the MRC and NPP anyways, so now we start looking at what the difference is between a 1SS with MRC and NPP, and a 1SS 1LE. The wheels, the recaros, the beefier suspension, the 6 piston brembos.

It all adds up to be 'worth' it for me I think. I come away thinking $6500 is probably a good value.

Awesome thanks! Once you have it broke in let me know. I'm interested in mostly track performance feedback.

I'll be ordering in late February 2017. No sense ordering for a November/December delivery in northern Ohio.

Just adding up numbers from there:

The wheels, tires, Recaros, the beefier suspension, the 6 piston brembos and HUD will cost you about $3900. Not even including the splitter, blade spoiler and accents.

That's quite a lot of value.

I have already been in touch with my dealer, as soon as the prices are published in the order books, I will be heading in to do some negotiation (possibly the costco deal if that doesnt work out) and will have my order put in.

Question is, when will pricing be officially published. I dont see the need for them to wait until September to start taking 1LE orders. Just publish them now and lets move on

I'm hoping to knock the break in phase out pretty fast. I plan on taking the car down to daytona for the Rolex 24. I'm sure I'll go see family in orlando too. So I may knock 1,000 miles out on that trip alone. I'm sure the other 500 will come from daily driving an a few mild passes on the blue ridge parkway.

I'm sure I'll be posting lots of PDR videos on the forums. Can't wait to tell everyone if the car lives up to the hype. For now we'll anxiously await the Motor Trend Best Drivers Car 2016 to air in October. Since we likely won't have these cars until the end of the year.

Sounds like we will be able to order by 9/8 like the ZL1 guys.

I'll be watching this car intensely, but for me, my 2015 1LE more than satisfies my needs. So no I won't be buying a new one.

That wasn't an option on the poll.

Same here. (Central Ohio) I am even willing to wait mid-summer if the deals aren't out there, or worst case used in a year.
