E amount guestimate?

Anybody got a decent guess for the amount of E I could run on a 22 zl1 with the only mods being a ported lt4 blower 103NW and a rotofab big gulp?

Just curious...

Probably not much without at least a JMS voltage booster since it’s the low end that usually drops out first. But even E30 would do you some good if you can run it safely. Maybe KingLT1 will drop by this thread…he knows the fueling limits off the top of his head lol.

I believe the newer ZL1's have a better low side pump so they will handle more E without needing a JMS. My guess is somewhere in the E50 range depending on AFR.

Forgot about that. ZL1’s got the LT5 low side at some point right?

Does it mean that it is worth to buy 2022+ fuel pump (assuming same as LT5) and swap it?

100% off-topic, and not to get all maudlin n' stuff, but for me this little exchange highlights what is so kewl about this forum.

You have OP asking a tricky, technical question. "Joshie", who is among that group of guys (and gals) who might be said to have "forgotten more about [boost/fueling/etc.] than most people will ever know", weighs in with a solid reply based on direct experience.

Nevertheless, he further defers to The King, who (we would/should all agree) has probably "forgotten even more" than whomever/whatever/however the logical extension of that line would be...

If that makes zero (0) sense to anyone reading, mebbe this'll be better. Bottom line, there are threads that I tune into -- which have absolutely NOTHING to do with my car -- because I see any of a certain number of individuals whose answers I simply know will be well-written, backed by facts and experience, and interesting. And I will feel smarter for having read them even if none of it applies to the bone-stock Convertibobble. I would be thrilled if one day I could provide advice that is even 1% as helpful as some of the stuff I see on here!

Carry on.

Thanks guys. I was pretty sure I read somewhere that the 22+ had a better fuel pump so I was curious how much more it would stretch.

Pretty sure the lt4/jms is a bit more capable.
