I'm just sorry to hear about your dog. I enjoy the company of my dogs much more than most people I meet these days & your story proves just why that is.

I wouldn't worry about the credit issue if it is in fact in good standing otherwise...I think they always allow for one or two disputes if not mistaken?? Personally I would make them prove it as I'm sure the dealership you say you normally use has already gotten a lot of your money & still WAY ahead of the game. I know mine wouldn't have handled it the way you were treated. Best of luck.

The invoice for the collision repair is total $2400.00 and you paid $1700.00 and the other line is for the bumper repair for $700.00. If you paid $1700.00 then I can see why they say you still owe the additional $700.00 for the bumper repair if I am understanding what you posted. Your insurance must have paid the $1700.00 amount and you requested on your own to repair the bumper. Insurance wouldn’t pay for that work so you have to pay that amount. Call me wrong but I can see the dealership claim that you owe $700.00.

yeah admittedly something does seem very off - I'd personally would have to see the invoices to see whats going on here.

Yes Need4 I’m just trying to understand the situation too and to possibly help the op figure out what the dealership’s issue is with him.

I get it my man...more than you know. Lost one of the best hunting labs a man could own to a rattle snake bite during a dove hunt. I now have two Vizslas & a Drahthaar. The older Viz you see here got hit also about 3 years ago during a hunt but survived the strike. It was touch and go for 24 hours.

Mans best friend.

I should of questioned this at the time, but my dog died that day and I didn't think to.
It was an estimate as you say, so if it ended up being $700 vs originally estimated $500 is understandable, but they should have informed you.

Acting the way they are is not excusable though.

How much was the claim to your insurance? How much was the check from your insurance? and how much is your deductible?

$400, $500, $700, $1700, $2400... Which is it?

Just trying to help figure out how they came up with their numbers. A lot of info is missing... But nevermind, good luck. I hope you get this resolved.
