I got the triple flush, the car ran well for a few thousand, then got another triple flush. the problems never went away that time. next go-round was another flush and new t/c (not the newest fluid, but the fluid before that). my problems haven't returned. It's been over 10k since.

Recently got the new fluid and flush along with the new revised torque converter. So far so good.

Well being that you have the SS I'm sure the torque converter is different than mine, but the part number for mine is 24293013. Not sure exactly how it differs from the original, but I am told it is

Not sure how many times I need to say this, but an AFTERMARKET tc will fix all your A8 issues. Circle D and the like. Forget the revised GM unit.

Are you still using the old gm fluid and just topping off after tc replacement around 4-5 quarts? Or doing a complete flush with new gm fluid old stuff or the new gm revised fluid or something else?

Both of you have valid points. However, if when I bought the car, someone would have told me about the a8 issues or potentiality of, I would not have bought it, at least not with the a8.

"2 grand can fix your problem". Yeah. 2 grand I shouldn't have to spend. |

Exactly! And, I for one will not go that route. I will trade the car first. In fact, I am already considering going back to a Challenger Scat. I had a 16 and it gave no problems whatsoever. I just can't decide what to do because I really do like the Camaro. My shudder is gone for now and I enjoy the car every time I drive it. But, like I said in the update thread I started, it is like the car has a black cloud over it. I always wonder, "When will it start again?" Couple that with the fact that I have a bit of the rear end groan from time to time on the first turn or two after a cold start, it gets you thinking for sure.

Not to mention an aftermarket TC will almost definitely void the entire transmission warranty.

Sad thing is, my car has an extended warranty from my credit union 10 year 100,000 mile. If I got aftermarket, I lose that Kia warranty as well |
