That's after the motor mounts were unbolted and engine moved as close to the (drivers side) steering shaft after the boot was cut off.

Well that's discouraging. Now I'm starting to wonder if the slight benefit is worth it. And here I thought I had my mind made up.

I installed 2" Kooks on my 14. I had to trim some studs off the body but the headers fit. Mine were double layer ceramic coated, so it was tight.

2" TSPs... put a small ding in cradle on passenger side (after it barely touched when making right turns), no issues otherwise.

I have installed a few sets of 2" headers and had to clearance for the steering shaft. The passenger side is also pretty tight against the frame rail.
