Rear window not sealed properly?

I was getting something out of my trunk last night and noticed that when I opened it and the light came on there was a little oval shaped patch of light coming through the window. Is this something that is normal or do I have a problem?

I do hear a rattle from the trunk when I'm going slow or over a bump, kinda sounds like the speaker is loose or something. I don't know if the two would be related.

Is it getting wet on the inside? If it is you have a problem.

the light part is coming up from the trunk area through the rear parcel shelf at some point. I can also see the light from the trunk coming through the parcel shelf to the interior and I have no rattles and there appears to be no issues, other than that you can see some of the light.
