ported throttle body vs tune

Hello looking to do next mod and was looking at either the ported throttle body or a tune ( RDM Motorsports), which one would you choose? on my 2016 only mod I've done so far is CAI.. Whatever mod I get I'll get the other one in a couple of weeks also looking very closely at the ported IM seems to be very solid gains for money .. E85 unfortunately is not local to me..

Thanks...

Do ported im/tb, then in a fee weeks get it tuned for best results. That way everythings dialed in with the mods tour doing and tune is based off them mods

Agree. Tune after changing out parts.

If it was a choice of one or the other - I would go tune.

Thanks for the input... I also need to decide if I want to go with LT's and HF' cats on my 5th Gen picked up over 40 rwhp with a tune.. I was told to expect around 20 to 25 rwhp for same mods on the 6th Gen because exhaust seems to be more efficient on this one..

Go for the ported throttle body. Wait to get a tune until you get headers otherwise you'll be paying for a tune twice.

The most cost effective and safe thing to do is to hoard a bunch of parts you plan to install... Install all the parts at the same time and then tune directly after.

buying parts one by one, especially ones that require a tune, and then tuning after each part is costly, however installing parts without a tune at all usually isn't terribly safe or efficient (again, depending on what the mods are).

Most shops offer free tune updates within first year

May have to pay for dyno time tho
