Removing the front with GM splitter

Posted this in forced induction, but received no replies.

When installing a procharger, I know one has to remove the front of the car to install the intercooler and plumbing. I have the GM aftermarket front splitter and it's riveted per instruction.

I'm assuming the rivets go through the undertray. This may be a stupid question, but does it require any different procedure to remove the front with a GM front splitter installed? If so, is it just simply just removing the undertray with it.

It just comes off with the front fascia.... the two way tape and rivets keep it in place on the fascia after removing the lower screws.....

I had to do this a few weeks ago since I got dusted with rocks. I was pretty anal about seeing it.
I had to drill out the rivets, which wasn't a big deal, just be carefull. the 3m tape that was holding it on however, sheesh! I was afraid of ripping off the bumper it was on so well.

but for what your doing, you don't need to remove the splitter. I just removed the whole facia. took about 20 mins or so, taking your time, making sure you don't scratch nothing.

Thanks gentlemen. I wasn't sure if the rivets went through and attached to the undertray, making it difficult to remove the front fascia.

I replaced my rivets with the plastic push poppers used else where in the car. Works perfect and now easier to get splitter off for repaint, repair, etc....
