Problem after problem

I just can’t catch a break with this car smh. Okay so after I put my stock steering wheel back on I got a service power steering/service stabilitrak message. The car would run fine but I have 3 of the stabilitrak lights on and anytime I punch the gas from low rpm I get a reduce engine power and check engine light. Went to get a code read and came back with a P0606 which is and ECM/PCM related code. I disconnected the battery for two hours and all was fine until I mashed the throttle. would me changing out the steering wheel throw off something making my car act this way?

Shouldn't have. How old is your battery? These cars are very sensitive to batteries on their way out and will throw all sorts of weird codes. p0606 can be caused by a momentary loss of power to the ECM. Did you disconnect the battery before swapping over the steering wheel? I would start by charging fully, or replacing the battery resetting the codes with a scan tool. If that DTC returns it is essentially a death sentence for the ECM

Prior to removal of the steering wheel I did disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery is probably 60k miles.

Did you lock the steering shaft when removing/installing? Any airbag light? Did you check the clocking spring? Any loose grounds?

The clock spring has to be perfectly aligned when you remove and replace that wheel. There is a window on the clock spring that helps with alignment.

If steering angle doesn't match what the clock spring reports you will get a ton of errors.

FIXED haha I’m a dummy lol found out that the yellow clock spring window needs to be by the 5’ o clock position for it to be aligned did that and no more service stabilitrak or power steering lights!

Glad you found it. I shouldn't have assumed you put it back on correctly lol.

Awesome, hopefully you get all this stuff sorted out and that's the end of it. Hoping your luck improves. Those clock springs are a PITA. I was so nervous about what I had read online about them being fragile that I bought a brand new one to have when I swapped to the ZL1 wheel. Thankfully I never needed it.
