Driving to tuner after cam install

Hey guys I'm kinda in a pickle. I am going to be going with the tick polluter cam which is on the large side and after the install I need to get it to the tuner. Only problem is the guy I really want to take it too (CMS) is far away about 115 miles. Any of you guys have to drive that far to take it in? I took it in to RPM for the initial tune but am not happy with it but they are 40 miles away. What would you guys do?

ask a friend with a pickup to tow you on a dolly if you really want to go to CMS might take some beer and gas money

It's tuned with hp tuners but I wish they made a handheld that I could load a base tune into the car and drive where I needed to.

I have a 99 Sierra but I don't think I could get her on the trailer without ripping something off lol. I have AAA but same thing I think they would end up ripping something off.

as in the ramp is too steep? if so, try using 2x6's to make it less steep. maybe you can rent a tilting trailer

It's tuned with the intake, tb and headers. I am afraid of putting that cam in and driving that far too the tuner. It probably won't be running very well.

Unfortunately nobody has tilt trailers for rent anywhere around here. Yeah the Hotchkis springs are going in next week and its only an inch but couple that with the lip spoiler on the 1LE and its gonna be pretty low.

Drive it, you will be ok.. Just don't get on it so hard. Try keeping RPM under 4k so shift around 2-3k and you should make it no problem. I drove with my buddy to get tuned and it was roughly 3hrs away and the only problem was, it eats up gas like crazy so just make sure you have a full tank and stop to fill up.

Yes, but he has got a large polluter cam, you have a teeny cam, lol.

Wouldn't his be more of a posed off drama queen in untuned guise on the way there?

John I don't have the interface. The shop I used tuned it with hp tuners. Another 700 for something I won't touch it's pointless unless I could use it like in my current status.
