Took the 1LE to the drags in Fontana and.......
Best I could do was 13.29 @ 112 mph and blew the tires off every time lol, that was my best 60ft at 2.221 which is terrible! 96 degrees, humid as hell, 1300ft above sea level. The car has long tubes, intake, ported tb and tune on stock good years. Track was prepped like crap and my tires looked like 60 grit sandpaper from all the damn gravel on the return road (gravel paved parking lot). I met a really cool guy with a boss 302 and it was a driver's race between us but I did beat him and he beat me, best he could muster was 13.2's. Had a good time but man creeping out of the hole and hammering it or feathering it just completely burning the tires off through first and part of second gear. Earlier in the day the car was stepping out shifting to third, car hooks nasty on the street but definately doesn't like the dragstrip lol.

All day average was 13.5's at 109-112mph with 2.4-2.5 60ft times. Terrible but just couldn't get her to hook for that fact nobody could. However I did take out every stang there lol Raced a 2008ish roush supercharged mustang, 2006ish GT500, 2012 Boss 302, early 2000's GT and lastly a 2012 V6 oh yeah baby! And surprisingly when I kept running the Boss I was slowly creeping on him at the top end of the track so that made me happy.

112mph is a nice trap speed. If you could get it to stick you would be 12.6-12.7 easy.

I went 12.3@112 with drag radials in my auto, good starting numbers.

Good thing though is now that i'm back on the street it hooks and pulls like a beast with no spin lol. Any suggestions to get this 60ft time down besides slicks?

May want to look into some suspension modes for your car, should help with lowering your 60 time and yes DR or Slicks will for sure be a plus as you already know

Forget suspension, not gonna do much for the money. Just get some tires and be done with it, my car ran 12.6s at 112-113 with just headers on my SS on stock tires. On bad prep or bad air it would go high 12s, so with tires and driver mod you will have a huge improvement an the boss would have been left in the dust.

What is the cheapest wheel tire combo to go with? Wonder if I could get low 12's with drag radials?

You should be high 12s with your setup. Work on the driver mod before you go out dumping money in parts when you could lower you e/t with practice and better driving skill first

Set of C6 Z06/grand sport front rims with your choice of drag radials. Many choose Mickey Thompson.
