Suggestions for best street burner cam lots of torque

Been looking but haven't found much. Looking for something that's not just making big power up in the stratosphere but also a nice flat big torque curve. Any suggestions?

The JRE Rough Idle 470 RWHP cam fits the bill nicely, Sounds Great, Drives Great, Makes respectable power all by 6400 RPM and is reliable.

Any Questions feel free to contact me.

Ted.

Check out out 545 cams and Avenger cams, both are very torquey, with great power all across the graph! Here are a few build blogs (with videos and dyno graphs)

545 cam (LS3)

545 Cam (L99)

Avenger cam

I'll tune in to this. Subscribed.

OP, did I miss it? You looking for L99 or LS3?

I would recommend a custom spec'd cam. There are some guys that got a custom cam spec'd for road course duty and the torque curve is so broad and flat that it reminds me of a positive displacement supercharger power band.

Yea, minus all that horsepower and torque lol.

I agree though, custom spec cam for sure is the way to go.

Sorry guys ls3 I have a 1LE. I know this is gonna sound crazy but I feel like my car is not as fast since the header/throttle body/cai intake and tune. Also when I run it out in first to about 6200rpm and shift to second it kinda stumbles on the shift and picks back up once into 2nd, tune was done by a very very reputable tuner. I know I lost some torque down low but it just feels like it doesn't put you back in your seat like it used to. Any suggestions? Car did put down 426hp 416tq on the dyno

Those are respectable numbers for a bolt on car. But that sounds like a bit of a issue going into second. Maybe some of the tuners here will chime in. Have you gotten back with the tuner to see what he thinks?

I don't know who tuned your car, but there are TONS of "reputable" tuners in Houston that I wouldn't let anywhere near my car. I will not drop names but I have seen the causes/efffects of their tunes. Does your tuner do any street time with the tune and datalogging to see where the car is at under street driving? If not I suggest a different tuner. Dyno tunes are great but that's only a WOT tune. Most of these street cars aren't WOT 100% of the time so fueling and air needs to be corrected for the other loads the car sees(20%, 40% throttle etc.) As far as a custom cam I highly recommend Pat G. Torque and HP all under the curve like you wouldn't believe. Let us know and definitely get the tune corrected before going any further.

It was actually tuned on a load bearing dyno that actually puts a load on the car simulating driving on the street. Only one I know of anywhere near me.
