Recently Ordered My Camaro
I want to say that I'm glad there are people like JoeP and Becky among others to help keep us informed during this process.
Thank you! Mike |

LPO
Hi everyone. I've recently read that all LPO options are installed by the dealer? Is this accurate? My 3LT has a few LPO options and I can see why/how that a dealer would install them but the Body-Color High-Wing Spoiler and striping (Shock & Steel Package) seemed odd to me (instead of the factory installing that one). ?

Such options can be wheels, interior components, exterior body parts, even custom suspension options, basically anything that would slow down production or make logistics more expensive. To me, the spoiler and striping you chose as examples being LPO is not surprising at all.

Is there an approximate time frame form order date to build week? From order date to delivery? I know we are in crazy times but just curious so I can try to control my excitement...lol
Thank you, Mike |

A New Hope (2022 version)
2020: nope, pandemic problems...
2021: nope, supply chain problems... 2022: hope, throw me a bone? You'd think if your typical karma being "if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck" was stacked against "third time's the charm" fantasy, you might still lose. Yup, third time, going for a Gen6. This Labor Day gave me shock, in a cherry kinda way. Lucked out with TPW 8/16. Whoa, actually built that week then bayed at Toledo railyard 8/28. Joe helped confirm it made it to the destination railyard 9/3'ish. Went out for a motorcycle ride today, the WI railyard is close enough to STP, planned to peer through the fence to maybe, just maybe see my car. On the way, stopped by the dealership to drop off some pre-delivery stuff. From a distance, before arriving, caught the red and chrome and thought "could this be happening??" Seems the stork delivered my baby secretly Sunday or early today when nobody was watching! YMMV, but 2022s are reaching their dreamers, folks. |

I am so very happy for everyone who is seeing their babies arrive, but any thoughts or ideas on why or how the 2022's are arriving before the 2021's
