Searching for a CHEVROLET CAMARO SS LT1 - HEARTBEAT TVS2300 Full Kit
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone may have or may know of someone who has a new CHEVROLET CAMARO SS LT1 - HEARTBEAT TVS2300 Full Kit for sale. It was brought to my attention by Magnuson that this kit was discontinued a few weeks ago due to low sales. I am in California so I need a kit that is carb legal. This is the exact kit I'm looking for due to my car being stock with no modifications. Yes, there are other superchargers on the market however, the TVS2300 is ideal for my situation. It would be pointless to purchase a bigger supercharger, for example the Magnuson TVS2650R if I'm not going to make additional modifications for hp gains. With that being said, does anyone have this exact kit out there? I know most of the time these kits are made to order but you never know. I was hoping a shop ordered one that they never got around to using or maybe a camaro lover purchased one and didn't use it for whatever reason....fingers crossed! I appreciate your assistance and thank you in advance! |

Summit Racing lists a Heartbeat kit 01-23-62-382-BL for $6995.00 that you are looking for. It has the 2300 supercharger.

Hello LT4Greg! Yes, there are a few websites out there that have the Magnuson Heartbeat listed however, they order it directly from the manufacturer which is Magnuson. I called Magnuson directly earlier this week and was told they have no more of those kits in stock due to it being discontinued a few weeks ago. The response I got is that everyone wants a bigger supercharger, well not me. With that being said, I made this post hoping someone may have one they didn't use or point me in the right direction. I appreciate your response! Thank you!

Have you tried superchargersonline.com? They may have a 2300 on the shelf. They also turn up in the member classifieds on occasion.
I agree that the 2300 is a great little blower, but if you can't find one, a Whipple or Maggie 2650 would still work fine for you. The performance with the standard pulley will be similar to the 2300 but with lower IAT's in most cases. The 2300's primary advantage is lower weight. If you're not planning to run over 6 - 8 psi, it's probably the best overall choice.

Yes Superchargers online will have one and probably a used one since they took in several when the 2650 came out.

Hello L78toLT1,
Yes, I tried superchargersonline.com earlier this week. Magnuson referred me to them and they didn't have any 2300s in stock either. I will keep a lookout for the members classifieds for sure. I really like Magnuson so if I can't find a 2300 I will go with the 2650. The thing is I'm only going to be running the Magnuson Tune which is around 7 psi and due to me being in CA , the supercharger has to be carb legal. The 2650 is pending (carb legal) right now so I would t be able to purchase it until it's approved (this summer). For my situation I feel the 2300 would suit me best. I didn't even take into consideration the weight difference between the 2300 and the 2650...I will have to call Magnuson and inquire. Hopefully there's not a big difference. I appreciate your response! Please let me know if you come across or think of anything else. Thank you! |

I recall speaking to Mike, the former CEO of Magnuson at the Camarofest. Mike described several enhancements incorporated into the 2650 to make it more reliable as well as more efficient. Greg is correct that it's a great blower. The 2300 has been good to me, but if the 2650 gets CARB certification, it is probably your overall best bet.

Thanks laynlo15 and L78toLT1! I appreciate the feedback. You guys sure know how to make someone feel better. Now I don't feel so bad missing out on the 2300. I guess I have no choice but to wait until the 2650 gets CARB certified. From what I was told by Magnuson last week is that the CARB certification is currently pending and will be approved this summer. Bring it on!!!

Hope they get CARB as the Maggie is in the plans for my car once it is out of warranty. If not, then will have to trade her in for a ZLE.

Hello LT4Greg,
I looked into the Edelbrock E-Force supercharger as well as Whipple 2.9 and they are good kits however, Magnuson appeled to me the most. I'm going for longevity and based on what I've found with my research, Magnuson is the way to go. There's a few other reasons why I was leaning towards the Maggie as well, for instance I hear the Magnuson has a lower whine noise (I'm aiming for discrete) and the extended warranty they off (5 year). |
